Child and Family Focus SA (CAFFSA) is the South Australian peak body representing the needs and interests of children, young people and families connected with or at risk of entering the child protection system, and the not-for-profit, non-government organisations who support them.

The report shows that care leavers face significant challenges, including poor mental health, high psychological distress, and financial stress. They often have lower educational attainment and struggle with stable employment. Housing insecurity is a major issue, with many finding it difficult to maintain safe accommodation. Social relationships are complex, with some maintaining contact with friends and family, while others face stress in parental relationships.
