CAFFSA partnered with CREATE Foundation and Connecting Foster and Kinship Carers to connect and consult with children and young people, carers, and practitioners from Port Augusta, Kadina and surrounding areas. The collective programs focused on supporting carers with transitions, grief, and loss, supporting the workforce, and consulting around region specific needs.
In Kadina, a fantastic Sibling Connection event was held, with Nature Play SA providing fun and nurturing activities for everyone involved.

Availability Responsiveness Continuity is a full organisation model that promotes workforce retention and creates learning organisations that are agile in responding to change. There is a Randomised Controlled Trial available that demonstrates the effectiveness of this model. There is also a book for facilitating the model in your organisation.
Fiona Oates has written a book on Trauma Informed Supervision for child welfare organisations. Fiona understands the Australian context and the pressure workers are under from public scrutiny. Fiona has also written several publications about the trauma experienced by workers and the impacts of systemic racism on Aboriginal practitioners.
